Cumbuco

Surroundings of Cumbuco Besides the beach and sandy dunes Cumbuco has a lot to offer. It is possible to take a trip toa few places of interest. The driver of a buggy will take you across the beach and dunes to for example Lagoa de Banana, Lagoa de Cauipe, Taiba or Lagoina.

The freshwater lake Lagoa de Cauipe lies directly behind the dunes and is a favourite spot for kitesurfers, but also a great site to have a swim or enjoy a delicious lunch. On the outskirts of Cumbuco is the wonderful lake Lagoa de Banana, where you can rent a boat or do some waterskiing. Slightly further away you will find the villages of Taiba and Lagoina. The mountains that you can see behind the dunes are only a few hours drive away. Here you will find a completely different, but absolutely just as beautiful scenery.

These trips take a half or a whole day. Prices range from 40 to 80 euros per buggy. A buggy can hold a maximum of four people.

A bit further away from Cumbuco are two other famous beaches: Canoa Quebrada and Jericoacoara. And it will take only an hour to get to Fortaleza for funshopping and a lively nightlife. .
