Situation
Cumbuco is situated 25 kms from the international airport of Fortaleza on 3 degrees south of the Equator. Click here for a map of Brazil.

Weather
The temperature is between 25 and 35 degrees. The rainy period is between Februari and May (this general means a couple of big showers every day). The best period for kite surfing is from July till December, when there's wind every day. Check the current weather report at windguru.com.

Flight
Check you local travel agency for flights to Fortaleza. The Portuguese company TAP. flies several times a week from European cities to Fortaleza.

Money
The Brazilian currency is the Reais. For one Euro you will get about 3 Reais. Look for the current currency at wwww.xe.com. In Fortaleza there are cash machines that accept Euro bank passes Cirrus or Maestro and Visa or Mastercard creditcards. Also most hotels, pousadas and shops do accept creditcards.

Documents
It depends on which country you're from if you need a visa before you fly to Brazil. For example American and Australian citizans need one. Ask for more information at the Brazilian ambassy in your country.

Car rental
If you want your own car during your stay, it's easy for us to organize one. The prices vary from 20 Euros for a small car, to 30 Euros (buggy) or 75 Euros (4x4).
